Bovey Castle

Bovey Castle, the five-star country house hotel on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, called on Waxman Architectural for the tiling in its hotel pool as part of the property’s spa and leisure offering.

Tiles from the Pool and Spa Collection were specified for the project, chosen for their combination of durability and style – a practical consideration for a high-traffic wellness space that still needed to match the hotel’s polished, high-end aesthetic. The Ceramic Pool tile range was used to line the pool tank itself, in a 25x25mm format in the colour Sapphire M-1451, giving the water a rich, jewel-toned depth.

The surrounding pillars were finished with tiles from the Harmonie range, also in 25x25mm, in the shade Titane 03 AG. The pairing of the deep blue pool tank with the warmer, metallic-toned Titane pillars creates a considered contrast between the pool itself and its architectural surrounds, fitting neatly with Bovey Castle’s broader identity as a luxury sporting estate where classic country-house grandeur meets modern comfort.
